Development Sites

North Somerset is projected to deliver around 25,000 new homes to 2036. A large proportion of these will be at Strategic Development Locations (SDL’s). Significant opportunities exist for JV investment and development partnerships relating to infrastructure, commercial and residential development, particularly modern methods of construction.

J21 Enterprise Area

The 72 hectare Junction 21 Enterprise Area is a key element in the West of England growth story, one of seven Enterprise Area and Zones, North Somerset’s Enterprise Area is home to a wide range of indigenous Weston businesses. It is also home to Food & Drink R&D innovation, cutting edge transportation and civil engineering tech development, defence activities and even crypto currency mining.

Positioned at the gateway to Weston, on completion, Junction 21 Enterprise Area will provide over 2 million square foot of commercial space, 10,000 jobs and 6,000 new homes by 2036. It forms part of the wider £1bn expansion and regeneration of Weston, creating commercial investment opportunities that support the wider ambitions North Somerset Council has for people to live, work and spend their leisure time in the town.
