Bristol’s new Clean Air Zone (CAZ) will come into effect in the summer of 2022 and any businesses that fall within the area covered by the Zone – or those who regularly travel into it – needs to start urgently considering the implications of the new scheme.

Event details

The Government has set legal limits for city centre pollution and Bristol City Council has to introduce the CAZ to ensure the city meets those limits within the shortest possible time. As a major source of air pollution in cities is road traffic – particularly diesel engines – it means there will be restrictions on the type of vehicles that can freely operate within the Zone and extra charges for those that don’t comply with the new requirements.

To try and let Bristol (and beyond) businesses know what the scheme is all about, what type of vehicles are affected and how businesses can claim part of the £32million fund set aside to help upgrade vehicles to meet the requirements, we are holding a briefing to help businesses prepare.
