Awards process
The awards are organised by Services for Tourism Ltd and are free to enter. All finalists have undergone a rigorous judging process, which includes assessment of their online presence, customer reviews, commitment to accessibility and sustainability, and mystery shopping visits.
Winners in core categories will be automatically entered into the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence, which will take place on 4 June 2025 at Brighton Dome Corn Exchange.
Recognition for the sector
Nell Barrington, awards director at Services for Tourism Ltd, commented on the importance of the awards: “What I love most about these awards is that they give tourism businesses the recognition they deserve. So many of them work incredibly hard, often with little reward, and some are tiny teams or even just one person keeping everything going. Despite the challenges the sector continues to face, these businesses have shown excellence, innovation and resilience.”
The awards celebrate the best of the region’s tourism and hospitality sector, recognising businesses that deliver outstanding experiences to visitors. The ceremony will be hosted by award-winning broadcaster Laura Rawlings.
