Food Works Phase 2 study explores demand for more food and drink business units in Weston

19th December 2023

Are you a food or drink producer looking for larger premises? Please take our short survey which aims to understand what demand is out there for premises of 2500 sq.ft. and above.

North Somerset Council’s Economy team have commissioned KGen consultancy to work with the Food and Drink Forum on a need and demand study for Food Works Phase 2. Currently there are 12 small food-grade business units at Food Works Phase 1 which are now fully occupied. These units have access to on-site technical support and use of specialist on-site kitchens and some of these business owners will soon be in a position to move into larger units such has been the success of the centre.  If we build Phase 2, the tenants of these units will have access to the same support.

The study will assess the requirements for any food and drink business who needs larger space of 2500 sq.ft and upwards. It is essential that the study understands the needs of potential tenants for Food Works Phase 2 including the size, the level of fit-out required, length of lease etc so the units are fit for purpose.  The council wishes to fully understand the level of demand.

If you are a food and drink producer, please complete this very short survey which will provide the team with essential information and will help form the basis of a full business case and give confidence to any potential investors and developers.
