Cost of living support for businesses

Due to the rise in businesses that are struggling with the current cost-of-living crisis, below is a selection of resources available to you:

the hive has provided a video below with some top tips regarding the Cost-of-Living crisis.


Additionally, the West of England Combined Authority is currently offering a range of targeted business services, including:

  • Free carbon surveys for small and medium sized business to support switching to greener energy and reducing bills
  • The Workforce for the Future Programme, delivered in partnership with the University of the West of England, to provide SME’s in the region with knowledge and tools on how to adapt to a low-carbon economy, achieve sustainability, and develop leadership skills to put clean growth strategies in place
  • The Business Innovation Fund, which offers support for businesses from a wide range of sectors to help develop innovative products, processes and services, that not only fulfil market demand, but also deliver industrial growth
  • Triage Team to discuss further options of support, including green tool kits, networking and informational events, and strategic business growth conversations as well as direct advice for any business that is struggling with energy bills

The Government’s Energy Bill Relief Scheme: help for businesses and other non-domestic customers is also available to offer support for energy costs during the winter months (energy usage between 1st October 2022 and 31st March 2023).
