Digital Skills Investment Programme – Market Engagement event Thursday 19 August, 2pm via Zoom

13th August 2021

The Combined Authority is looking for consortia of partners to come forward, including skills providers of different types, employers and other stakeholders, to deliver innovative training solutions where employers report digital skills shortages which will address regional digital skills needs at a baseline/lower level and medium/higher level.

The training must be inclusive targeting groups who could most benefit including those who have been disproportionately affected by COVID-19 and those underrepresented in digital roles. This round of funding will support a minimum of 1,080 learners to increase their digital skills capabilities.

For funding targeting baseline/lower level digital skills needs the Combined Authority are looking for innovative solutions which increase confidence, and access and increase demand.

For funding targeting specialist skills gaps in digital skills at a medium/higher level the combined authority is looking for short, innovative bespoke training courses which focus on intensive responsive solutions to fill vacancies and support career progression.

This event will support potential applicants and those wishing to be partners to understand more details around the funding and what the Combined Authority is looking for.

This is an open event to any stakeholder interested in finding out more about the funding. It will be recorded and made accessible throughout the time the funding application window is open.
