Backwell

Backwell village lies 11 miles south of Bristol and has an approximate population of 6000.The village has a good range of local shops and services including a post office, newsagents, hairdressers, bakery, off licence, pharmacy, hardware shop, and grocery store. Congresbury

Congresbury village lies 7 miles north of Weston-super-Mare and 13 miles south of Bristol and has an approximate population of 3600. The village has a good range of local shops and services including a post office, newsagents, butchers, bakers, hairdressers, hardware shop, country clothing, financial services and pharmacy. The nearest railway station is in the nearby village of Yatton located less than three miles away with regular connections to Bristol, London and the southwest and is within a fifteen minute drive of the M5 motorway. A range of leisure facilities are located in the village which include the playing fields, children’s play area, football club, youth club, country club and golf course, cricket club and bowls club and close to the nearby Strawberry Line cycle path which stretches from Yatton to Cheddar. Long Ashton

Long Ashton village is located approximately three miles south of Bristol City Centre and has an approximate population of 4800. The village has a good range of local shops and services including a post office, supermarket, off licence, bakery, hairdressers and a monthly village market. There are both pre school facilities and a primary school in the village with the nearest secondary school in Ashton Vale, or in North Somerset in Nailsea. Winscombe

Winscombe is a village in the parish of Winscombe and Sandford, located 16 miles south of Bristol with a parish population of approximately 4500. The village has an excellent range of local shops and services including; butchers, bakers, florists, hairdressers, banks, post offices, gift shops, pharmacy, beauticians, pubs and cafes. The nearest railway station is at Worle, approximately seven miles away with regular connections to Bristol, London and the southwest and is within a twenty minute drive of the M5 motorway. The villages of Winscombe and Sandford both have a primary school and a number of pre schools. The nearest state secondary school is located in Churchill just less than three miles away and the independent Sidcot School is also within a couple of miles. Wrington

Wrington is a village and parish located 10 miles south of Bristol, with the parish population around 2633. Bristol Airport is within the parish. The village has a limited range of shops and services including a convenience store/post office, off licence, hairdressers, chemist, estate agent, repair garage and has a weekly country market. The station at Yatton is located less than 4 miles away, although with no public transport link, with good connections to Bristol and other destinations, and with a short drive to the M5 motorway. Yatton is a village and parish 11 miles south west of Bristol with a population around 9700.
