Spacebar was originally an idea provided by the local town centre management who proceeded to partner up with the college to provide students who are willing to take part in supporting businesses digitally. It takes groups of students and hands them projects of different local businesses who may have been affected by recent affairs such as COVID, and helps them get their businesses going again digitally. We aim to help local business such as charities, CICs, or small businesses who may not be digitally involved. Spacebar has decided to partner up with Weston College and Joe Bambridge from Next Theme, a local Web design/Digital Marketing company, and now aim for more professional websites to be made for clients whist also keeping to the standards set out by clients.

The Stable is a community enterprise centre aimed at supporting start up social enterprises and businesses, charities, the VCSE sector, community projects and employability programmes in North Somerset. We are currently home to Artists and Makers, A large variety of VCSE groups and organisations, Digi Tech Wizards, Film and Media Geeks, Health and Wellbeing Practitioners, Design and Build Engineers, Foodies, Writers, a whole array of excellent Project Managers and a lot of exciting hot deskers, who come and go as they please. We Have Joined The We Work For Everyone Project | Weston College

Weston College and North Somerset Council are delighted to join the WE WORK for Everyone project - an exciting opportunity to help support people with learning difficulties and disabilities (SEND) who need extra support to move into employment. The aim of project is to offer a unified approach Bristol, South Gloucestershire, BANES, North Somerset and Somerset to improve employment outcomes for people with learning difficulties. The key commitments are to empower people with learning difficulties, develop independence and support a seamless transition into the workplace. The project will also be working with employers to raise awareness to help them to understand the benefit of an inclusive and diverse work forces.
