Growth Hub

The West of England Combined Authority is helping regional SMEs who have been impacted by coronavirus to navigate information on the Government’s business support measures through the Growth Hub. 

Contact the Growth Hub to speak to an Enterprise Executive who can help answer your queries and will help you navigate the latest information and advice on business support. 

The Growth Hub website provides information on the support available for businesses through the coronavirus outbreak, and will signpost you to the right information to access help and support.  

One of the direct schemes small or medium sized enterprise (SME) with between 50 and 250 employees can access is support to enhance their online presence, market their existing online through adopting new technology or new digital practices. Online resources

• British Library Business and IP Centre – provides information and support (webinars, think ins etc) to small businesses, start-ups and entrepreneurs has made additional services from its country-wide network of Business and Intellectual Property Centres available 
• Guidance to staff – including: how to prevent  spread of COVID-19; what to do if someone suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19 has been in a workplace setting; advice to give to individuals who have travelled to specific areas; and advice for the certification of absence from work resulting from COVID-19
• Non-governmental COVID-19 support – services from business representative organisations, banks and other public bodies that might be useful for employers.

• To assist with pandemic recovery North Somerset Council  have provided a range of post COVID-19 Health and Safety information for business including Legionella. Employers must report any cases of Legionnaire’s disease to the Council.
