Bristol Green Capital Partnership is hosting a free webinar about the development of the West of England Local Nature Recovery Strategy and how your organisation can get involved.

Once published, the Local Nature Recovery Strategy will set the strategic direction for nature recovery in the region, identifying the desired outcomes and priorities for restoring nature in the West of England, and how they could be delivered.

Nature recovery can bring huge benefits to the region – reversing the decline in wildlife, sequestering carbon, improving water quality, providing flood management, and improving people’s health and wellbeing.

The Local Nature Recovery Strategy will be used to better target public and private funds towards the most effective actions for nature and other environmental outcomes, maximising these benefits to wildlife and society.

Businesses have a crucial role to play in nature recovery through investing in the natural environment, and also by supporting nature recovery around your workplace and in your community. Doing this can bring huge benefits to businesses, from meeting net zero goals, to protecting assets from flooding, and even improving employees’ wellbeing and productivity.

The team developing the strategy are keen to hear businesses’ priorities for investing in nature and how they could be supported to do more, in order to help shape the strategy as it develops.

The webinar will give an overview of the strategy, its relevance to businesses, and the role organisations can play in its development. There will also be the opportunity to ask questions, and all organisations, large and small, are very welcome to attend.
