Wave 4 – Call 2 Skills Bootcamp Launch Event

The West of England Combined Authority are making a further £1.6m of funding available as part of their Wave 4 Skills Bootcamp initiative.

Skills Bootcamps are developed in partnership with employers and providers to address short- and medium-term regional skills gaps.

Skills Bootcamps offer an affordable route to develop employees with high quality training for in-demand skills. They also offer a way of developing a loyal and talented workforce, providing skills needed to futureproof regional businesses.

The training is funded through the Department of Education’s, National Skills Fund and forms part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping adults 19+ gain Skills for Life.

This funding opportunity is applicable within:

• Green Skills Training
• Bus Driver Training
• Green Construction Techniques
• Digital Skills Training
• Leadership & Management Training
• Health Training
• Care Training

Initiatives are expected to deliver progressions outcomes into work, a new role, new responsibilities, or new contracts.

This event aims to support potential applicants and wider stakeholders who may wish to be involved in partnerships to understand more about what the West of England Combined Authority is looking to achieve through the fund, details about what we are looking for in applications and the application process.
