- 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM
- The Stable, Weston-Super-Mare, BS23 1JY
Join Culture West for the Resilience for Creative Businesses workshop with Tarek Virani in person on Wednesday the 10th of July 2024. From 9:30am – 1:00pm. At The Stable, Weston-Super-Mare.
This workshop is designed to help creative micro businesses and SME’s build resilience within their operations.
Creative businesses and freelancers are facing numerous external challenges from the fallout of Brexit, the pandemic as well as the recent economic downturn and the cost of living crisis. If one thing is for certain it is that uncertainty seems to be the norm which makes it increasingly challenging to run a creative business.
While there has been a lot of discussion about ‘resilience’ in business, determining the specifics of what it might look like and how it can be achieved seems to be missing. The aim of this workshop is to determine what resilience looks like for creative micro-businesses. Creative businesses have had and continue to have numerous external challenges to address. The session will trial the use of a resilience toolkit developed by the University of the West of England Bristol, and provide a quick analysis on the day as well as more in-depth analysis in the weeks following the workshops to paint a picture of what resilience looks like for creative businesses in the region.
Each workshop will have 10 slots, and will pay participants £125 GBP for their time and only one person can attend from each individual business. To be eligible for these workshops you need to be a creative micro business or SME based in either Bristol, BANES, South Gloucestershire or North Somerset.
Book your place as soon as possible to have a chance of getting a space within the workshop.
Each workshop will be in-person and refreshments will be provided on the day.
