The Value of Artists: Learning Resource Launch Events

Bath Spa University warmly invites you to celebrate the launch of five innovative creative learning resources, developed by talented artists from across the West of England. 

Creative learning resources offer facilitators, educators, and carers valuable tools to help audiences engage with complex ideas, themes, and concepts in imaginative and meaningful ways. Created to support and inspire learning, these new resources highlight the powerful role that artist-led materials can play in galleries, museums, classrooms and community settings.

As part of a project led by Bath Spa University, five creatives have been commissioned to develop educational resources that explore the role of artists in society—showcasing the diverse career paths they follow and the many ways they contribute to our communities.

These free resources will be distributed across Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire. Highlighting the importance of arts education, they will provide young people with an insight into what it means to be an artist today.

Created to explore the role of artists in society, these new resources have been designed to:

• Support pupil well-being
• Develop creative thinking skills
• Expand knowledge and understanding of creative careers
• Be inclusive and accessible to pupils with additional needs

Copies of the resources will available to pick up at the in-person events and will be available to download from our website in October 2025.
