Mid-Level: Senior Carers, Support Workers, Mentors
General Average Annual Salary: £17,000 – £27,000
Description: Senior Carers, Support Workers or Mentors provide help to children or adults (known as service users) with a wide range of care and support needs, which may include a learning disability, physical disability, mental health needs, or other health needs or vulnerabilities. The main function of the role is to enable the service user to live more independently and achieve positive outcomes.
Senior-Level: Care Home Manager
Average Annual Salary: £25,000 – £55,000
Description: A care home manager oversees the daily operations of a residential care facility, managing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, handling budgets and maintaining the overall facility with the team. The care home manager’s role is to ensure high quality care for residents, families and staff, ensuring all problems or issues are managed professionally and effectively, while promoting a safe and nurturing environment for residents and other staff.
