Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm in Wraxall emerged as the standout performer, securing two gold awards for Accessible and Inclusive Tourism and Age Friendly Business of the Year, alongside a bronze award for Regenerative Tourism and a commendation for Large Visitor Attraction of the Year. This remarkable achievement highlights the zoo farm’s commitment to providing an outstanding, inclusive visitor experience for all ages and abilities.

About the awards

The Bristol, Bath, Somerset and Gloucestershire Tourism Awards are organised by Services for Tourism Ltd and recognise excellence across the region’s tourism and hospitality sector. The awards ceremony, hosted by award-winning broadcaster Laura Rawlings, celebrated businesses that have shown excellence, innovation and resilience.

Nell Barrington, awards director at Services for Tourism Ltd, said: “What I love most about these awards is that they give tourism businesses the recognition they deserve. So many of them work incredibly hard, often with little reward, and some are tiny teams or even just one person keeping everything going. Despite the challenges the sector continues to face, these businesses have shown excellence, innovation and resilience.”

Winners in core categories are automatically entered into the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence, which will take place on 4 June 2025 at Brighton Dome Corn Exchange, providing an additional platform for regional businesses to gain national recognition.

The strong performance by North Somerset businesses demonstrates the area’s growing reputation as a quality visitor destination and the commitment of local tourism businesses to delivering exceptional experiences.
