The hive: Three Days of Starting in Business – October 2025

A free, three-part course for aspiring business owners will run this October in Weston-super-Mare, offering local residents the practical skills and knowledge needed to start and grow a successful business.
Delivered by the hive and funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the Starting in Business course will be held at We Are Super Studios in The Sovereign Centre. The course is open only to individuals and businesses based in North Somerset and will be delivered by a professional business adviser.
The sessions will guide participants through the essential aspects of planning, financing and promoting a new business.
Who can attend
This course is available only to residents or businesses based in North Somerset.
All three sessions must be attended. Please do not book a place if you do not meet the eligibility criteria.
