PowerUP 365: new digital Skills Bootcamp for North Somerset businesses and residents

North Somerset employers can now book places – or encourage job-seekers – on PowerUP 365, an eight-week Digital Skills Accelerator Skills Bootcamp delivered by Weston College and funded through the West of England Combined Authority’s Skills Bootcamps programme.
What the Bootcamp covers
Participants learn how to turn everyday Microsoft 365 tools into business assets, including:
- advanced use of Excel, Teams, SharePoint and Microsoft Copilot
- data analytics with Power BI
- low-code app building in PowerApps
- essential cyber-security awareness
Who can join
The course is open to:

Self-employed | Freelancers and sole traders looking to enhance their Microsoft 365 skills |
Job-seekers | Residents aged 19+ who are unemployed or changing careers into tech-enabled roles |

Cost and funding
Skills Bootcamps are government-backed:
- Free for individual learners.
- Up to 90 % subsidised for SMEs and 70 % for larger employers (subject to Skills Bootcamp rules).
