Did you know that North Somerset Council is officially recognised as a fostering-friendly organisation? This means we actively support and value our foster carers, acknowledging their incredible contribution to children’s lives. We encourage our staff to consider becoming foster carers themselves, especially in light of the current national shortage. Our vulnerable children deserve the very best care provided by nurturing, patient, and warm-hearted individuals.

How can you help?

We are asking local organisations and businesses to join us in highlighting the importance of fostering in our community and the remarkable difference foster carers can make. By becoming a fostering-friendly employer, your organisation would help raise awareness of this critical need and directly contribute to positively changing the lives of children and young people.
