Opportunities for contractors

Are you a contractor interested in renovating and restoring shops on Weston-super-Mare High Street?

Now’s your chance to express an interest in working on this interesting project.

Work to 57, 67, 69 and 73 High Street will include:

• removing existing shopfronts, signage and roller shutter doors
• join together 67 and 69 High Street and create a new double bay shopfront
• replace the shopfronts, designed in keeping with our Shopfront Design Guide.

The contract opportunities are being advertised on the Supplying the South West procurement website (reference: DN723341) www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk

The contract was published on our procurement portal on Monday 3 June and expressions of interest must be submitted by 1pm on Wednesday 3 July.

This project will not only make a positive difference to the buildings’ physical appearance but it is hoped that it will encourage businesses to occupy a previously empty unit, encouraging more footfall and trade into the town.
