Grants for Creative Freelancers – Open until 21 June!

Creatives Freelancers can apply for grants of up to £2,000 from 15th May to 21st June!
Designed to improve the resilience of creative freelancers across the South West, funding of up to £2,000 is now available to deliver specific activity that will enable the development of products, services, or creative practices.
What Support is Available?
Opening on 15th May, Creative freelancers will be able to apply for grants of up to £2,000, which can be used for activity such as:
- Research and development of creative ideas
- Professional development (activities that build, maintain or enhance your knowledge and skills)
- Creation of new work
- Collaboration with new partners
- Training and showcasing opportunities with tangible outcomes
- Delivering events, festivals, community engagement activities
- Building and growing partnerships that will aid or develop your work
Your activity can be up to 9 months long and should be completed by June 2025.
Who is Eligible to Apply?
Applications from freelancers from all of the below sub-sectors of the Creative Industry will be welcome, with priority given to the following groups: care leavers, creatives living in areas of socio-economic deprivation, disabled people, global majority, young people (18-30).
You will be eligible to apply for this grant if:
- You’re a registered sole trader with a Unique Tax Reference, or a Director of a limited company where you are the only officer or employee.
- Your registered address is in North Somerset Council, Bath and North East Somerset Council, Bristol City Council, or South Gloucester Council.
- You work in one or more of these sectors: Advertising & Marketing, Architecture, Arts & Culture, Visual Arts, Dance, Performing Arts, Festival, Craft, Createch, Design, Fashion, Gaming, Music, Publishing, TV & Film.
