18a Productions Limited is a web development agency based in North Somerset, with a specialism in creating complex systems which are incredibly easy to use – both for the people administering them and their customers.
Founded by husband and wife team Tom and Lisa Freeman in 2007, 18a now has clients all over the world and a growing team of developers in their Winscombe offices. Over the years they’ve been featured on sites such as The Guardian for creating one of the first mobile shopping websites in the world, and on Facebook for being one of the first teams to use their API when it launched.
A strong technical in-house skill set, years of experience, and extremely “hands on” Directors ensure that their clients always receive first rate support and advice with any digital queries they have. It’s because of this, and a strong emphasis on customer service, that they’ve had some of their clients for the whole 12 years they’ve been trading.
Being based in North Somerset allows 18a to enjoy perks that similar agencies typically in cities can’t. Whilst handy for Bristol, trains to London, the M5 and the airport, working days can include spontaneous picnics or cider making in the 18a Orchard, planted to celebrate 10 years in business!
18a recently planned, designed and built the new In North Somerset website – a process which began with surveying local businesses and allowing them to “card sort” their priorities for the new site. The picture below is of Craig, a member of the 18a team, working through the results of the research as the design process began.
