You can still register for popular solar panel buying scheme

16th October 2024

Have you been thinking about getting solar panels for your business?

The popular solar panel scheme Solar Together is back to help North Somerset small businesses and residents generate clean, local, renewable energy to power their home. The deadline to register has been extended until Friday 15 November, so there’s still time to get your free, no-obligation quote.

So far 1,159 people in North Somerset have registered for the third round of the scheme, including 15 businesses. Why don’t you join them, and cut down your carbon footprint and your energy bills?

Solar Together uses the collective bargaining power of many local small businesses and households to buy high-quality solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, batteries and EV home charge points – and their installation – at a very competitive price.

This is the third time the council has been part of Solar Together. North Somerset Council have again partnered with the West of England Combined Authority (WECA) and independent group-buying collective iChoosr Ltd to deliver the scheme.

Feedback from previous Solar Together customers shows that the top reasons for joining the scheme include:

  • hassle-free process
  • trustworthy pre-approved contractor
  • high quality panels and installation
  • more affordable price compared to buying directly from an installer.

North Somerset Council is committed to making North Somerset a thriving and sustainable place to live by tackling the climate emergency. A key component of the council’s ambition to reduce emissions and reach net zero by 2030 is to improve access to renewable energy.

Anyone who already has solar panels installed can also register to have battery storage added to their existing set-up to maximise the benefits of their system.

Registration for Solar Together is free, with no obligation to buy. To find out more please visit www.n-somerset.gov.uk/solartogether or call 0800 014 8851.
