Upfest 2024 – Weston Wallz

Welcome back Weston Wallz – returning this year with 19 murals to be painted across the town, from Birnbeck to Oxford Street and from Meadow Street to the Sovereign.
Bringing unique artwork to Weston-super-Mare, Upfest’s Weston Wallz returns to the iconic seaside town from 31st August – 15th September 2024. In partnership with Weston-Super-Mare Town Council, Super Culture and supported by Arts Council England, this year will see brand new artworks adding to the already colourful landscape.
Large-scale murals will be painted live on Weston’s Wallz by local and national artists bringing their own style and flare to a variety of buildings in the town including walls at the Sovereign and hoardings at Birnbeck Pier.
Adding to the existing mural trail this year’s artists include Epod, Zabou, Rosie Woods, Zubieta, Karl Read, Jack Lack, Aidan, Hass, Jayde, Tanith Gould, Dave Bain, Anna Higgie, Lionel David, Dave McMillan and Emotional Waterfall. There is also a mentoring programme for new artists this year.
Walls to be painted include 7 locations on the west and north sides of the Sovereign, walls in Alexandra Parade (Blue’s Bar)/Meadow Street/North Street/Kings Lane, Richmond Street/Oxford Street, the northern part of the High Street (Games Room near the Playhouse), the Bay & Harbour in Knightstone Road, and the hoardings at Birnbeck Pier.

Also taking place on the 31st August/1st September Spray Jam returns to Italian Gardens providing additional surfaces for street art – see the artists in action and watch the artworks evolve. The artwork will remain in situ until 27th Sept.
