WECA Wave 5 Funding: Skills Bootcamp for Employers and Providers

The West of England Combine Authority have begun call 3 of their 5th wave of funding, introducing Skills Bootcamps which give people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with an employer. WECA are looking for employers and training providers who are ready to deliver Bootcamps and bolster the skills of their own workforce.
Skills Bootcamps are employer-led training opportunities to help fill local skills gaps.
Specialist training for the skills employers need:
- Building a loyal and talented workforce
- To futureproof your business
- Free to learner with flexible delivery to meet your needs
How does the Fund Work?
The fund will support employers to deliver bespoke training initiatives that meet short to mid-term skills shortages and are expected to deliver progressions into work, a new role, new responsibilities or new contracts.
Employers can collaborate with relevant training providers or use their own in-house training functions to deliver training. There is also an opportunity to form partnerships with other employers if the skills need is the same.
Although training is free for learners, there is a small contribution required depending on the size of the employer.
