North Somerset Council has been a Disability Confident Leader since 2017.
With almost 15% of our work force identifying as a disabled person we understand what is important to ensure our staff are well supported.
The Disability Confident Scheme, facilitated by the DWP encourages employers large and small to think about the steps they can take to make sure they are doing all they can to attract, recruit and retain disabled employees.
Disability Confident Employers play a leading role by changing behaviour and cultures in their own businesses and reap the rewards from inclusive recruitment and employment practices.
