Creative Arts Summer Festival 2024!

Weston College’s Creative Arts Faculty are excited to invite you and your colleagues to the Creative Arts Summer Festival 2024, a celebration of Weston College and UCW students’ creative achievements!

This is a fantastic creative event that promises to be a memorable experience for all. Our Summer Festival is more than just an event; it is a source of inspiration for the next generation of creatives.  

Please join Weston College in helping kick-start creative journeys and opening doors to exciting possibilities in the Creative Industries Sector. 

Event Details: 

• Dates: June 19th – June 22nd, 2024 
• Location: Creative Arts Campus, Loxton Rd, Weston-super-Mare BS23 4QU 

Why Attend? 

• Celebrate the Students: Witness the incredible talent and hard work of Weston College’s student cohorts in a safe and fun environment. Creative subject areas include: Art and Design, Game and Animation, Graphic Design, Film and Media, Fashion, Music Performance and Production, Performing Arts (Acting, Dance, Musical Theatre) and Photography. 
• Inspiration: Discover how your business can work with the Creative Arts department. 
• Entertainment: Experience live music throughout the day on the main stage and enjoy the silent disco in one of our tents. 
• Family Fun: A fantastic trip out for the family with live music, performances, artwork, and locally sourced food and drink—all in celebration of the arts and young people in Weston-Super-Mare. 
• Creative Community Day (Saturday 22nd June): Sign up to a range of community classes including Ceramics, Print and Directing or come and listen to one of the Industry Professionals Q&A sessions live on the College’s very own Weston Waves Radio. 

Food and Drink: Locally sourced food and drink will be available from a variety of food trucks and vendors, including: 

• Cheddar Ales (licensed bar) 
• Oak Oven Pizza 
• Izzy’s Ices 
• Foxtail Tea and Coffee 
• …and more! 

Careers Advice and Guidance: In addition to enjoying the artwork and performances, aspiring college applicants can also apply to join the College with their Careers Advice and Guidance Team sessions.

Budding students can even sign up to have their interview during the Summer Show or check out the campus if creative studies post school appeal! 

Parking: On-site parking is free; however, spaces are very limited. Please note that there is also very limited local residential parking, so travelling responsibly and sustainably is encouraged.
