Impetus Youth Employment Connect Fund Now Accepting Applications

Unrestricted grant funding for up to three UK registered charities and social enterprises in England and Wales that are supporting young people to prepare for and find work, with a particular focus on young people from ethnic minority backgrounds.
There is particular interest in young people from Bangladeshi, Pakistani, and Black communities as these communities are the most likely to be impacted by unemployment in the UK.
The Youth Employment Grant is provided by Impetus, who work to support young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to succeed in school and work.
To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be a UK registered charity or social enterprise.
- Deliver all or most of their work within England and Wales.
- Young people (aged 14-25) from from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds must make up more than 50% of the young people they serve.
- Young people from ethnic minority backgrounds must make up more than 50% of the young people they serve.
- Have at least five members of staff
- Deliver a programme/intervention that targets employment or employment-related outcomes for the young people they work with
- Have achieved at least break-even in two of the past three years, OR hold at least two months of operating costs in reserves
Successful organisations will receive:
- £100,000 in unrestricted grant funding per year, for two years (with potential to continue thereafter).
- Expertise, coaching and capacity-building support from the Impetus Investment team.
- Access to peer learning forums, a chance to network with and learn from other portfolio charities and their senior teams.
- Access to sector-based coalitions to influence policy and the national conversation on the issues faced by the young people being served.
- Access to world-class pro-bono network of specialist advisers including PwC and Bain.
- Access to further grants through co-investment with the Impetus network of donors.
