Cultural Audit and Action Plan commissioned for North Somerset
15th February 2024
North Somerset Council and Arts Council England have co-commissioned a Cultural Audit and Action plan for North Somerset. North Somerset has a Culture and Heritage Strategy which covers 2020-2030, but much has changed in the sector and the county since Covid. This is an opportunity to review circumstances and create a focused action plan for 2024-2030.
The approach to ‘culture’ is broad, acknowledging that many individuals and organisations deliver work across art forms and sectors. From heritage sites and libraries to graphic designers, recording studios and theatre companies, we hope everyone who contributes to the cultural life of North Somerset will participate.
To take part in the audit, organisations and individuals working in the cultural sector in the county are invited to complete a short questionnaire, which can be found at www.cultural-audit.com
You are also invited to attend an in-person event to discuss your thoughts on the future of the sector and contribute directly to the Action Plan. You can book a spot at any of these events by visiting www.cultural-audit.com. The only ones that must be booked are the 1-2-1 consultation slots in Portishead and the online session, so you can be sent the zoom link in advance.
