LGV Recruitment Fair to be hosted by Weston College – 7 Feb

On the 7th February, Somax (Weston College) will be hosting an LGV Employers Recruitment Fair with the opportunity for employers to meet people who have recently completed their Category C LGV Licence. Employers are invited to bring banners, marketing material and will have the opportunity to promote their live vacancies in this free flow event (tables will be provided).

- Location: The Construction Training Centre, Locking Head Drove, Weston Super Mare, North Somerset, BS24 7NA
- Cost: The is no charge for employers to attend this event, our priority is to support our Bootcamp participants into sustained employment
Since the start of January 2022, Somax (part of the Weston College Group) have been delivering DfE funded Skills Bootcamps for LGV driver training. In the last 2 years they have trained circa 400 drivers contributing to the narrowing of the UK skills gap. This has been a combination of novice to Cat C, novice to Cat C + CE and people upskilling from Cat C to C+E and upskilling with ADR.
