These could be projects in early stages of development, for which time, space and support is needed in order to progress to a scale that has lasting benefits for other artists and the region. You may need the opportunity to focus on research, gathering insight and input from other artists and communities.
The selected Fellows are each awarded £10,000 for one year, and all projects have to be completed within twelve months. Desk space for selected Fellows is available in the Visual Arts South West office based at Spike Island, Bristol. As this opportunity is funded by Arts Council England, applicants cannot seek match funding from Arts Council England (through Projects Grants or similar).
