Climate Surgeries

3rd March 2023

Does your organisation have high ambitions around climate but is struggling to make progress? Is there a particular challenge that you need expert help with to move forward?

Climate Surgeries is a collaboration between Bristol Green Capital Partnership’s Climate Action Programme and UWE Bristol’s Skills for Clean Growth Programme, offering organisations the opportunity to receive free, expert 1-2-1 support with reducing their impact on the environment.

Through 1-hour of dedicated support from consultancy partner Eunomia, it is hoped that the participating organisations will be empowered to overcome barriers to action and progress their climate journey.

This is initially only on offer to a small number of organisations. Participants must be SMEs from the WECA region with less than 250 employees and below £40M turnover. They will be prioritising organisations that demonstrate a genuine commitment to climate action and have a clear problem or challenge that they hope to address.

Examples of challenges could be (but are not limited to):

  • Tackling scope 3 emissions such as the procurement of low carbon and sustainable goods and services;
  • Measuring and monitoring your environmental impact and performance;
  • Defining and setting a net zero or wider sustainability target;
  • Procuring renewable energy; and
  • Stakeholder engagement and buy-in.

Participating organisations will be asked to provide feedback directly after the Climate Surgery session and again 3 months later.

Please complete the expression of interest form by 5pm on Friday 10 March and you will be let known if you’ve been selected by Tuesday 21 March. The Climate Surgery sessions will take place by the end of April. If you have any questions, please contact claire@bristolgreencapital.org.
