Apprenticeship Bursary For Care Leavers Increased

The Department for Education (DfE) announced on the 2nd of February that the apprenticeships care leavers’ bursary is being increased to £3,000.
The increased rate will be available for new starts from 1 August 2023 and will be paid in instalments across the first year of their apprenticeship.
Employers and training providers will continue to receive £1,000 each to support care leaver apprentices they employ, meaning there will now be a total of £5,000 in additional funding for every care leaver apprentice.
