The Food WorksSW is a new dynamic food and drink innovation centre, offering food-grade business units, development kitchens and industry specific technical support across the South West. Located in Weston-super-Mare, the site offers easy access and flexible dedicated facilities to assist food and drink manufacturers and producers to innovate and grow.

Food-Grade Business Units: The lack of available food-grade premises and the high cost of converting standard industrial units to meet food standards is a constant barrier to growing businesses. The units at The Food WorksSW are the first purpose built food grade premises in the region, built to a high specification to enable start-up or established businesses to fulfil their production requirements in a ‘plug and play’ setting.

Development & Trial Kitchens: The lack of product development space in the region holds back food and drink innovation and development. High spec development and trial kitchens are available for flexible short term rentals to allow businesses of any size to scale-up production, introduce new lines, produce short runs and pilot product improvements. Themed rooms for bakery, dairy, ready meals and drinks will be available through 2020.

Alongside these new facilities is a team of industry experts available to offer technical, product development and innovation support to food and drink businesses across the South West. Based on site, The Food WorksSW team comprises of:
