Portishead Rail Services

The re-opening of the Portishead rail branch line forms part of the Metro West Phase 1 project. The overall project includes proposals for half-hourly train services for the re-opened Portishead line, Severn Beach line and local stations between Bristol Temple Meads and Bath Spa. The total cost of the project is estimated at £58.2m.

Councillors accepted the recommendation to locate the station on a corner site between Harbour Road and Quays Avenue (option 2B) at North Somerset Council's executive meeting on Tuesday 17 March 2015. For more details visit our news item.
