Junction 21 Enterprise Area
Junction 21 Enterprise Area is part of the Bristol and Bath City Region. It is located on the M5 corridor just south of Bristol. The West of England Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has identified Junction 21 Enterprise Area (J21EA) as one of five areas as a focus for business growth, inward investment and new job creation across Bristol and Bath City region to support growth and attract 95,000 jobs to the sub region by 2030.
J21EA capitalises on its clear strengths – good transport links, diverse economy, highly skilled and motivated talent pool and significant available land and premises.
Junction 21 Enterprise Zone is composed of 72 ha from Britannia Court and Red Lodge Business Park in the east to Westland Distribution Park in the west. The sheer range of opportunity across Junction 21 Enterprise Area presents unrivalled prospects to access markets across North Somerset, the West of England City Region, the South West and M5 Corridor. Weston is the largest town in North Somerset with a population of over 76,000. North Somerset is strategically located at the gateway to the South West and covers 150sq miles (38,955 hectares).
Global and National companies such as Network Rail, Lidl, Abersea Engineering Limited, Travelodge, Quest Global Engineering and Knighstone Housing sit alongside a growing number of thriving small local businesses; each playing it’s part in the strong and growing business community across J21EA.
As part of the wider picture demonstrating the strategic appeal of J21EA, North Somerset Enterprise and Technology College has confirmed its commitment to Junction 21 with the location of its new Science Technology Engineering and Maths (STEM) facility. While Avon and Somerset Constabulary have located the police rapid response centre serving Weston and surrounding communities to land adjacent to Worle Parkway Station.
North Somerset Council takes a business orientated approach and works closely with key landowners, developers and agents to bring forward a number of sites within J21EA.
