Pure Comms, Clevedon
Having recently moved into 2,400 sq ft of new office space, telecoms provider Pure Comms is firmly established as ‘one to watch’ in North Somerset and a company with significant growth potential.
Set-up in 2009 by Rob Vivian, Pure Comms has grown from just him in the business to 13 members of staff (as of February 2015). As one of the few providers in the UK to offer the service they do, state-of-the-art technology is combined with a customer service model and re-investment strategy.
Rob explains: “I made a conscious decision when I founded the company. That was to not enter in to the race to the bottom with other suppliers and slash prices; and rely solely on technology that is readily available to most suppliers.
“Here at Pure Comms we add real value to our offering and give customers a service that isn’t transactional but strategic and relevant to their business.”
Regarding re-investment Rob elaborates: “We have invested to build a research and development centre that allows us to mimic every phone system we sell.
“This means that when a customer calls us regarding an issue they are having with their telephony environment, we can replicate the scenario and deliver a quicker solution without the need for third-party engagement or costly call outs. It’s this kind of service led investment that is adding real value to what we offer.”
And it is an approach that has paid dividends. In 2012 Pure Comms was crowned Business of The Year at the Sian Lloyd Jones Business Awards and a matter of weeks later was named ‘Reseller Partner of the Year’ at the Channel Telecom Awards held in London at the South Place hotel on Liverpool Street.
Pure Comms were also visited by Dr Liam Fox MP in August 2012; an occasion which marked the huge success the company has had in a relatively short space of time.
They are also committed to North Somerset as a region and in March 2013 re-located to new offices in Tickenham, near Clevedon.
Rob comments on North Somerset: “We love North Somerset – it offers a highly skilled workforce; and an enterprising and business friendly culture. There seems to be a collective drive from business leaders to bang the drum for this area and create an inward investment drive. Key developments coming to fruition such as Weston Gateway Business Park also give us huge confidence as a business.”
Pure Comms work with a number of high-profile clients, including Bristol Airport, auctioneers Bonhams, BWOC, Britannia Windows, Co-operative and Bristol based recruitment firms JJF Fox, Redrock and Opus.
