Brunel Engraving, Clevedon
Brunel Engraving is a leading commercial and industrial engraving specialist providing bespoke engraving services and supplying trophies, medals and awards to local, national and overseas customers.
Established in Clevedon in 1989 by qualified engineer, Martyn Wright, Brunel Engraving has grown to become one of the largest and most successful engraving businesses in the UK, offering a wide range of customised engraving services.
In 2010 they moved operations into larger premises at Britannia Way, off Strode Road in Clevedon, to accommodate the expanding business. Housed in modern 5,000 square foot premises, the offices, workshop and design facility are all based on one site, employing 18 local people.
Brunel Engraving’s work is in evidence throughout the whole of the country; from signs and plaques in offices, hospitals and schools, to inscriptions on trophies and awards, including all the individual engravings at the base of the famous Isis sculpture in London’s Hyde Park.
Brunel Engraving is a preferred supplier to the Palace, has four dedicated websites and an extensive commercial engraving arm, offering a wide range of customised engraving services. Customers include Marks and Spencer, Sainsbury and The Body Shop.
The company’s engraving craftsmen are trained to the highest standards in the UK. Over the past two years over £75,000 has been spent on upgrading its technology and expanding the premises with the installation of a Wide Format Sublimation printer, a Flat bed UV printer and a Chemical Etching machine with associated equipment.
The technologically advanced machinery, used for producing printed metal labels and badges, and name plates and exterior signs, has made a significant impact on business, enabling the company to undertake sophisticated print operations and to tackle the most complicated procedures with a quick turn round, increased production levels and improved overall quality.
“North Somerset is a great place to live and work, it provides a perfect balance”, says Martyn Wright. “It has a skilled workforce, excellent communication links and it’s easily accessible. We’ve been situated in Clevedon for twenty three years and the business has grown steadily. Now, with our premises based under one roof, we are able to offer a more efficient and cost effective service for our customers.
“Our investment in the very latest computer controlled machinery places us in a very strong position to provide a full service at very competitive prices. It means we can meet a whole host of engraving needs from a wide spectrum of customers; from blue chip clients in aerospace, mechanical and structural engineering industries, to small trophy shops which require an effective and competitive trade partner to fulfil their engraving orders.”
Brunel Engraving hasn’t stopped yet, plans are afoot to expand the Clevedon operation further with increased investment in the site and a state of the art chemical etching system will be installed before the end of September 2014.
