There will be music and hands-on activities for the children including storytelling fun with the Director of Somerset Storyfest, Michael Loader and fantastic local Sea Shanty singers the Barnacle Buoys.

Please download 2018 programme for a full list of participants.

We have a new venue for the 7th Made in North Somerset Showcase this year, Court House Farm, Church Road South, Portishead, BS20 6PU. This larger venue with its charming courtyards, barns and grassy open spaces will allow us to accommodate even more North Somerset food, drink and creative businesses.

Court House Farm is a unique period ‘gem’ that hosts events and 'happenings' of all kinds, and offers delightful visitor accommodation.

Set within the conservation parish of Saint Peter's, within a short walk of Portishead High Street, the historic buildings have been lovingly saved from dereliction in the recent past. The originally medieval site is steeped in history, much of it still to be discovered.

The land Court House Farm and its neighbour Springfield Farm (now one) sit on is, according to experts, a classic medieval site. The small Manor House dates from this period and was probably very much larger originally as its early timber elements are now long gone. The bigger attached Tower House once a Court House, dates from the Tudor period and its Hexagonal Tower is a later ‘flamboyant' addition in the 1800s.

The soon to be renovated 'Little Manor House’ nestles next to the newly restored, grander Tudor 'Tower House', with its unique hexagonal folly. The huge barn and courtyard, outbuildings and stables all sit within a four-acre site, which this year is being transformed with a series of inspiring and educational, thought-provoking 'annual' gardens.
