The Story, Wrington
The Story began in 2004 when best friends Jim Twine and Luke Hasell took over their family farms and were later joined by Poultry and Pig experts Bill and Emma Yeates in 2010. Between them they farm 600 acres of land across the Chew Valley and Wrington Vale and have recently won a Gold award for the overall meat category with the Soil Association.
The Story are a small company with a big story to tell about great tasting local organic food and we don’t want to tell it through the supermarkets – in fact in the majority of cases it is impossible to do that. At the Story we believe it’s important to know exactly where your food comes from so we positively encourage people to come and visit our farms and shake the hand that feeds you.
We are passionate about creating great tasting food and respecting the animals and the environment, that’s why all our farms are 100% Organic. We also believe only good things can come out of localised supply chains, alongside the environmental saving; they strengthen communities and the local economy. It’s positive for everyone involved.
We farm native breed beef suckler herd of South & North Devon's, rare breed large black pigs, Llyen breed of sheep and our very own traditional breed of chickens.
We have recently won a Gold award for the overall meat category with the Soil Association and have been working hard to establish an online website. The Story product range has just become easier to access with our new web site so you can order direct through our online box scheme home delivery service; we also supply local restaurants and schools.
