Business Enterprise Centre
Part of Weston College in Weston-super-Mare, works with more than 1000 organisations, supporting them to achieve significant improvements in overall performance, by developing the skills and performance of their staff. They offer a wide choice of flexible, work-based training and development services – many of their qualification courses are fully subsidised by government funding.

Actively supports local businesses across North Somerset by offering training services and hosting workshops.

North Somerset Council
Offers a training course for the Level Two Award in Food Safety in Catering qualification from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH), previously known as Basic Food Hygiene.

People 1st
The Sector Skills Council for Hospitality, Leisure Travel and Tourism. A Government recognised and industry-focused body established to support the development of skills and training within that industry.
There are 25 Sector Skills Councils in total, covering approximately 85% of the UK workforce, and representing the skills and training interests of small to large businesses.

LANTRA
The Sector Skills Council for environmental and land-based industries working to help develop a skilled workforce and represents 17 industries across the UK. By working with employers, organisations, training providers and individuals, Lantra helps; businesses improve performance through investment in skills; businesses and individuals access appropriate learning solutions; promote the excellent career opportunties offered by the sector; provide a supply of people with the skills needed by industry.

A range of work schemes offering help and education to help people enter or get back into the work place are:
Westonworks
A one stop shop for job vacancies, job brokerage and skills matching. They aim to provide employers with a single point of contact who will work with you to find appropriately skilled and trained local people. They work directly with employers in and around North Somerset to ensure that local job vacancies are effectively promoted and filled through Westonworks and its partners.

Ready4Work
In partnership with Weston Jobcentre Plus and North Somerset Enterprise Agency, Ready4Work aims to get people back to work or to start their own business by funding training courses and by giving job grants depending on eligibility.
