There is a thriving local art and crafts community across North Somerset which is showcased at the bi-annual North Somerset Arts week where over 300 artists open their homes and studios. There are also permanent venues such as the Clevedon Craft Centre, Barley Wood gardens and a number of galleries across the area.

Theatres such as the Playhouse in Weston-super-Mare have a lively amateur dramatic company attracting many world established artists to perform on the stage. The Blakehay Theatre is also used by a variety of amateur dramatic and educational groups. Theatre Orchard works across North Somerset in unique venues such as pubs, community orchards and ancient buildings bringing together music, dance, storytellers and theatre.
